A mini haul; My camping essentials! (plus what's in my travel make-up bag?)

I'm going camping this weekend (in fact I may already be there are you read this) and unlike last years camping trip, I'm going 'proper camping' with a local Guide group- that means we'll be in the absolute middle of nowhere, with no running water and cooking everything on open fires! I'm really looking forward to it, but I'm seriously hoping the weather wont be bad as I'll be outside approximately 99.99% of the time I'm awake!

The title of this post might be a little misleading actually- I'm not taking much make up with me, but there are a couple of camping essentials that I wanted to share with you :)

First, the items in my mini haul. I picked these up in Boots, and they will be SO useful this weekend. There's not running water, let alone showers, so baby wipes will be super-useful for at least trying to stay clean! And I like that they are nice and gentle on my skin. As a bonus these were on sale for £1 :)

Similarly, no running water means no chance of using a hot cloth cleanser- so Simple face wipes will have to do! I've never tried these ones but I've read some good reviews and hopefully my skin wont react to them. I picked the exfoliating ones in the hope that they will be better at deep cleansing my skin- which usually gets quite dirty when camping! These were £3.99 (but I paid with my advantage card points!)

And finally some Neutrogena hand cream- I'm sure you know how much I love their concentrated hand cream, but when I'm camping and busy (I am going to help out after all) I find that it takes too long to skin into my hands and it gets things greasy or I end up attracting extra dirt to them... So I picked up the fast absorbing version- which is still very moisturising, but does indeed absorb quickly. This was £4.09.

So aside from those items above, what else is in my 'make up' bag?

In the event that I do choose to wear make up, I want it nice and simple- totally no fuss! My only eyeshadows are my e.l.f. Cream Eyeshadows, which are lovely as they look great alone all over the lid (along with my e.l.f. eyelid primer, which is in the small pot) :) I have a couple of eyeliner options-because if I do wear make up it may just be eyeliner and mascara!

I also have my trustworthy eyelash curlers, and Collection 2000 concealer- if I wear nothing else, I'll need to at least conceal my under eye circles, which will no doubt be terrible after a night in a tent!!!

Skincare-wise, there's not much either. An absolute essential is my moisturiser! as well as a pot of body butter because being outside in all weathers tends to dry out my skin. I also could not go the whole weekend without dry shampoo!!! I also popped in my e.l.f. cuticle balm pen, as I have a feeling my nails will take a beating this weekend...

I've also got sunscreen, insect repellent and my toothbrush and toothpaste- but they are far too boring to photograph!

What are you up to this weekend? Hope you have a good one :) I've got posts scheduled for every day that I'm gone, so I hope the blogger scheduler works, sorry I wont be able to respond to comments straight away.
