My Top 5 Lip Balms!!!

As I'm sure you know, I'm a *tiny* bit of a lip balm addict- I have rather a lot of them, and I've tried even more! I know I've reviewed most of my collection, but I thought it would be fun to give you a rundown of my 5 absolute favourites, and why :)

So, here are my top 5 (counting upwards, oh the suspense...!)

5) Lucas' Papaw Ointment.

I think I under use this lip balm (which can be used anywhere else too) because I'm a little worried about replacing it when it runs out (I bought it in Australia, and although you can pick it up in the UK it is kinda pricey and harder to find) I really recommend it to everyone- it's so lovely and moisturising and smells delicious! :)

4) The Body Shop Lip Balms

These were some of the first lip balms I used- my gateway drug, if you will- and I still love them today. I especially like the Christmas edition balms in Spiced Vanilla and Cranberry Joy, though the Born Lippy ones are lovely too :) They are very richly moisturising and they all smell yummy too! I really want to get one of their Lip Butters too (addict!!!)

3) Blistex Intensive Moisturiser

I know I've not had this lip balm for very long, but I really like it! The formula is quite unusual but it has an awesome mentholy/minty flavour and (as you'd expect) does provide 'intense moisture' :) Plus I really like the packaging and applicator thingy.

2) Revlon Colourburst Lip Butters

This is the only tinted lip balm to make it into my top 5; because it actually delivers on both the lip balm and the tinted aspects (so many tinted lip balms don't...) which makes me stupidly happy! My favourite shade is Strawberry Shortcake- a lovely pink :)

and finally....

1) Carmex! (I'm sure that's a huge surprise to you all...)- I simply could not survive without it (OK that could be an exaggeration, but I love it a lot!) I like both the pots and the tubes (I really want the strawberry tube!) but my favourite has to be the cherry pot.

I find the pots are much more practical than the tubes (once you've used some of the product it becomes harder to squeeze more lip balm out) and the formula seems a little thicker, which I prefer. The cherry scent is lovely (like cherry drop sweets) and I'm currently running dangerously low! I wish mint was available in pot form too, I think it could be my favourite scent.

And the ones that nearly made it...

e.l.f. Studio Conditioning Lip Balms- I love the formula, and they do provide a good tint, but the packaging is too bulky for it to be practical to carry around! I really must depot them into smaller container and try and use them more!

EOS lip balm- I love love love this, but I don't feel I've used it enough to know for sure that it belongs here.

e.l.f. (regular line) Therapeutic Conditioning Lip Balm- once again this is a packaging fail; the formula and scent it great, but I do advise you to use caution when purchasing as you will most likely need to depot it in order to use it properly!

MUA Love Hearts Lip Balm- nice tint, but I see it as more of a lip gloss than a balm. (love the scent though)

So there are my choices, what are your top 5 lip balms?
